Acupuncture for Pregnancy Nausea

Acupuncture for Pregnancy Nausea Melbourne

Pregnancy nausea, also known as ‘morning sickness’ is a common condition that can affect many expectant mothers and usually occurs within the first trimester of pregnancy. For some expectant mothers, pregnancy sickness can persist through the day. Pregnancy nausea symptoms can range from mild discomfort to stronger feelings of nausea and vomiting.

In some cases, women may experience hyperemesis gravidarum which is a more severe case of pregnancy sickness where nausea can be constant and can last for several months.  Hyperemesis gravidarum can often lead to weight loss and dehydration as nausea can suppress the appetite and bring about a sensitivity to certain types of foods.   If you are experiencing pregnancy nausea or morning sickness we recommend that you discuss your symptoms with your GP.

At AcuHealth Therapies we take a special interest in women’s health and pregnancy acupuncture We are passionate about helping women to minimise pregnancy related symptoms  as they start the amazing journey towards creating a family.
